Ghost On A Swing

This little ghostie showed up in our backyard today. She is one of the Pink Pixie Forest lawn ghosts that we made several years ago now enjoying a swing that my husband fashioned from a pre-cut oak board and some clothesline from the hardware store. It’s a kick to see her skirt billowing in the wind.

I found the how-to for these lights by Juliane Strittmatter on Gardenista this week. They are really, really cool. The plant used for these might go by the name Japanese Lantern or Chinese Lantern or even Fall Lantern (that’s how they were labeled in the Whole Foods cut flower section). After Halloween these will come inside and provide festive lighting through Thanksgiving and beyond.
